Born in Sunagawa, Hokkaido. He has been familiar with opera and orchestra works since he was a child, and enjoys improvisational performances with a spatula as a motif. Lyam Chenaux - Cello - Platinum Medalist (Youth Category) - Switzerland

Lyam Chenaux was born in Switzerland in 2009, and at a very young age he chose to play the cello. He quickly showed exceptional musical qualities, and at the age of 8, he won a first prize at the Jeunesses Musicales Suisse competition. At the age of 9, he joined the Ministrings of the Lausanne Conservatory (directed by T. Strinning and B. Batt), which allowed him to develop his skills in stage expression and improvisation and to perform in many countries. Particularly appreciating public concerts, Lyam had the chance to play at various festivals and
concerts in the region from a very young age. Nahar Eliaz- Cello - Platinum Medalist - Youth Category - Israel

Israeli 16 years old cellist Nahar Eliaz has internationally distinguished herself by winning 1 st Prize when she was 11 years old in the Concerto Competition in Boston by “Morningside Music Bridge”. In 2019 she won the 1th Prize and the title “ Exceptional young Artist" at the 2019 “Vienna Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition". With more successes in 2020, in 2021 itself, Nahar won 8 international competitions with the 1th Absolute Prize in Europe in the America, such as
“VI Odin International Music, “Rudolf Barshai International Strings Competition”,“Grand Metropolitan International Music Competition”. In 2022 Nahar has already won the 1th Prize of
the known “Anton Rubinstein International Competition”.

Her success led to concerts at venues such as the Lincoln Center NY, Barcelona Arts Center, Carnegie Hall and Beethovenhaus in Bonn, Germany, Musikverein Vienna.
As soloist she has played with the Jerusalem Symphony and the Symphonette Ra'anana and with orchestras around the world as well as recitals in international Music Festivals in Europe and in USA.

Following a personal invitation by Mr. Ytzhak Perlman for the "Perlman Music Program, ; Nahar was featured at the 2018 Gala event for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.

The Jerusalem Music Center selected her for coaching sessions with Mr. Muarry Perahia taking place in London.

Theresa Tran - Piano - Platinum Medalist - Collegiate Category - USA

Born in Texas, Theresa Tran is a high schooler who has been playing the piano since she was 4 years old. She is currently studying with Dr. Christina Long, and she has achieved numerous prizes and awards in a variety of competitions and festivals. Some of her accomplishments include achieving first place at the 2021 and 2022 Dallas Symphonic Piano Competition, first place at the 2021 US International Open Music Competition, first place at the 2022 Denton Bach Society Competition for Young Musicians, state finalist at the 2021 TMTA Performance Contest, top-5 in the 2022 TMTA Performance Contest, platinum medal at the 2022 Quebec International Music Competition, and platinum medal at the 2022 North American Virtuoso International Music Competition.

Outside of competitions, she is the piano captain in her school orchestra and a piano accompanist for her church children’s choir. In doing so, she hopes to spread the joy of music with others while sharing how music has played such an important role in her life. Aside from piano, she loves reading, enjoying nature, watching a good movie or show, and spending time with family and friends.

Frederick Chiu - Piano - Platinum Medalist - Collegiate Category - USA

Born in the United States to a Taiwanese family, seventeen-year-old Frederick Chiu is currently a junior at Walnut High School, California. He began his piano education under the guidance of his father at age five. Frederick recently received Silver Award in the 4th WPTA Finland International Piano Competition. He was also a semifinalist in the 2022 Music Center Spotlight Program. In 2021, he was awarded first prize in Charleston International Piano Competition and Gold Prize in Seattle International Competition - Virtuoso Artists Festival. Besides, Frederick also won the First Prize and Exceptional Young Talent Special Prize winner in 2020 International Music Competition Bonn "Grand Prize Virtuoso" in Germany. He had performed with APU Festival Orchestra conducted by Dr. Christopher Russell as a first prize winner in 2018 MTAC Dozen Charitable Trust Fund Concerto Competition. Frederick was honored to perform at the Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall, as a first prize winner of the 2017 Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition. Besides piano, he has developed an interest in Forensic Sciences and Medical Pathologies. He wishes to continue this interest and pursue music and sciences majors later in college.

Irene Hwang - Piano - Platinum Medalist - Youth Category - USA

Irene has been studying piano with Ms. Erna Gulabyan, Professor John McCarthy and she is currently a SFCM Pre-College student under Professor Sandra Shen.
She has won prizes at various competitions including the Marilyn Mindell Piano Competition, CAPMT Honors Competition, USIMC (Young artist, Bach, Mozart Category), Quebec International Music Competition, Bellagrande International Music Competition, US New Star Piano Competition, American Protege, Enkor, USOMC (showcase and concerto categories), and Junior Bach.
Irene has taken master classes with Dmitry Rachmanov, James Giles, Joseph Rackers, Dmitri Vorobiev, Alexander Braginsky, Gregg Pauley, Li-shan Hung, and Lori Rhoden and has attended the Vivace Music Foundation in the summer of 2021.
Irene also enjoys playing chamber music with her piano trio at SFCM.

Ann Sakimoto -Violin - Platinum Medalist - Youth Category - Japan

Ann Sakimoto was born in Tokyo in 2006 and began studying violin at the age of 5 with a number of renowned teachers including Ms. Mami Teshigawara at Toho Gakuen School of music.
Ann has won numerous awards including the1st prize in the Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition in NY, the 2nd prize in the International Junior Music Competition in Tokyo, and the 3rd prize in the Leonid Kogan International Competition for young violinists in Brussels, as well as the 1st prize in the Cecilia Music International Competition in Tokyo, among others.
Ann has performed numerous venues around the world including Carnegie Hall ( NY, U.S.A), Suntory Hall (Tokyo, Japan), Green Hall (Tokyo, Japan ), Minato Mirai Hall (Yokohama, Japan ), and she has also performed as a concert mistress of the Toho Gakuen Junior Orchestra, and played with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra as well.
As a studious learner, Ann has participated in numerous master classes with many great artists including Mr. Fumiaki Miura, Mr. Federico Agostini, Mr. Eiichi Chijiiwa, Prof. Takashi Shimizu, Prof. Akiko Tatsumi.

Ann currently is a 1st grade student at the prestigious Shirayuri Gakuen High School, and studies violin with Ms. Mami Teshigawara.

Caleb Ding's - Piano - Platinum Medalist - Junior Category - USA

Caleb is a 7 years old first grader studying at Durham Academy in Durham, North Carolina. He has been practicing piano for more than 3 years now. Ever since Caleb learn piano with one of the Steinway & Son Hall of Fame teacher Ms. Florence KO, he has improved his skills tremendously. He has won many awards in various domestic and international piano competitions. He also performed in Carnegie Hall, New York in June 2022. Caleb loves playing piano and looking forward to exploring more in the music world.

Born in Taiwan (R. O. C.) and graduated from the University of Taipei and Royal Birmingham Conservatory, he studied with great Professor Cheng-Yao Lee and Professor Pei-Chun Liao
in Taiwan, later He studied under outstanding pianists Anthony Hewitt and Victor Sangiorgio in the UK.

In 2021, he is studying the Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of North Texas with Professor Gustavo Romero.

Brianna Tang, a student at Mark Twain Intermediate School for the Gifted and Talented. She is currently attending The Juilliard School MAP program as a Saxophone major. And the New York Pops Kids on Stage program. She plays alto, soprano, tenor saxophone and piano. and studying under Mr.Timothy Hayward, Dr. Lukas Gabric, Ms. Wen Yi Lo for piano. She has won North American Virtuoso International Music Competition Gold prize, The American Protégé International Music Talent Competition 1st place, Music International Grand Prix 2021 Competition,Youth Winds Category,1st place . Anna Romanovsky - Piano - Gold Medalist (Collegiate Category) - USA

Anna Romanovsky has graduated this 2022 year from Carlsbad High, California. She is passionate in piano and drawing. She started playing the piano at 6 years old and perfected performance and theory skills with her Mom - professional piano teacher and her mentor Tatiana Romanovsky. Anna won several
piano competitions, to name a few: 1st place at USOMC in 2019 and 2nd place in Nutcracker international piano competitions. Anna also completed MTAC 10 year piano program and was awarded Gold Medal this 2022 year. Anna is also dedicated in Fine Art drawing. She draws as long as she remembers herself, was strongly influenced by her brother who graduated UCLA in Arts and is working in Film and Animation in Los Angeles. Anna participated in Scholastic Art & Writing Competition (US wide) and won Gold Key in Drawing & Illustration in 2021 and also Honorable Mention in Digital Art.

Felix Wang - Violin - Gold Medalist (Youth Category) - USA

Felix Wang started taking violin lessons when he was four. He became a member of BYSO two years after and became the concertmaster of BYSO-JRO since 2021. Felix also served as the concertmaster for the SEMSBA Junior Festival in 2022. Felix won the first place with the Judge’s Distinction Award from the American Protégé International Piano; String Competition in 2022. He was the 1 st place winner of the Bay State String Competition
(2017), the Great Composer’s Competition (2019), the Elite International Music Competition (2019, 2020), the Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition (2020), the VIVO International Music Competition (2021) and the Danubia Talents Liszt International Music Competition(2022). Felix was also the Grand Prix winner of the Concert Festival Orchestra International Concerto Competition in 2020. Felix was invited to perform at the Carnegie Hall, Lincoln
Center, the Vienna Musikverein, and Beethoven’s House in Bonn, Germany. Sarah He - Piano - Gold Medalist (Junior Category) - Canada

My name is Sarah He and I am 11 years old. I live in Canada and have been playing the piano for 6 years. Now, I am ARCT level and have recently finished all of my history and theory exams. I am overjoyed that North American Virtuoso Int. Music Competition (NAVI) has chosen to award me a gold medal in the junior category for piano. Of course, there are a few very special people that I’d like to thank for helping me throughout my musical journey. First, I would like to thank my wonderful teacher, Peter Rudzik and his endless patience and kindness towards me. His teachings help me improve everyday. Sonia Gomes - Piano - Gold Medalist (Youth Category) - USA

Sonia Gomes is 17 years old and lives in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Sonia started studying music at the Nelly Berman School of Music at the age of 7 and she plays both piano and trumpet. Sonia is a piano student of Ms. Natalia Varlashova. Sonia has been awarded First and Second places in numerous solo piano competitions, including the “Elite International Music Competition” and “Crescendo International’s Little Mozart’s Competition”, which allowed her to perform several times at Carnegie Hall. Over the last couple of years, she participated in a few online competitions, placing first place at the BAMA US International Open Music Competition, the Grand Metropolitan International Music Competition, in the 2021 Quebec Music Competition and the Rocky Mountain Music Competition, among others. She recently played at the Royal Albert Hall in London, by wining “First Prize + Exceptional Young Talent Special Prize Winner” in the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition. In June 2022, she also played at the American Protégé Summer Gala Concert at Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium and with the Sempre Musick Orchestra at their concerto competition winners’ recital.

Liam Alexander - Violin - Gold Medalist - Junior Category - USA

Liam Alexander (USA/Romania) is an 8-year-old violin student of Prof. Magdalena Ursu, violin professor at the ”Dinu Lipatti” National Arts High School in Bucharest, Romania. He attends the St. Paul School in Macomb, Illinois.
In 2022, Liam won the first prize at the Muse International Music Competition (Greece), the Geneva International Competition - Melos (Switzerland), at the Charleston International Music Competition (winter edition), and first prize of excellence at the International Competition Performance Scherzo, Romania. He was the third prize winner of the 2022 American Music Talent Competition, in Washington D.C. In December 2021, Liam won the first prize and the prize for the best interpretation of a Romanian work offered by the Foundation “Remember Enescu” at the Competition “Paul Constantinescu” in Romania. In November 2021, he won the third prize at the International Competition “Remember Enescu”. In October 2021, Liam won the first prize at the Music Box International Online Contest, UK. In March 2021, Liam was awarded the first prize at the “George Manoliu” Competition, Romania. He won the first prize at “The Violin Doc” International Online Festival in December 2020. Jae Eun Park - Flute - Gold Medalist - Youth Category

Jae Eun Park was born in 2007. She started her musical education at the age of 5, and at the age of 10, she started her flute journey under the guidance of Ching-Yi(Judy) Ho. She
participated in SCSBOA Honor Band for two years and is currently attending Orange County School of Arts Wind Studies Conservatory, pursuing her passion for music. She has won branch and state honors in the Certificate of Merit program. She has won 1st and 2nd places in MTAC Romantic Festival and Classical Festival, American Protege, Golden Classical Music Awards, Kings Peak International Music Competition, Vienna Virtuoso Music Competition, Quebec Classical Music Competition, MAP International Music Competition, and Grand Prize International Music Competition. To inspire others and share her musical talent, she is part of the Dragon Kim Foundation, where she instructs younger students. She is also a vice president of Empowering Arts, a nonprofit organization, where she performs in senior facilities weekly.

Andy Jun Wang - Piano - Gold Medalist (Youth Category) - USA

Under the tutelage of Dr. Jarl Hulbert at Knabe Piano Institute, Andy has matured in piano performance over
last eight years. He enjoyed playing jazz piano at Central PA Jazz Festival Camp in Messiah College, playing
organ and piano at Westminster Conservatory Summer Institutes, and playing chamber music with string
instrumentalists at Rushmore Music Festival. In addition to organ and piano, Andy also played clarinet with
Maryland Youth Symphony and Peabody Prep Wind Orchestras, and was invited playing alongside wind
musicians with Chesapeake Symphony Orchestra in its River Concerts. He has won Honorable Mentions at
Baltimore International Piano Festival and MSMTA Gottlieb Piano Competition, Silver Medal at New York

Parisa Verma - Violin - Gold Medalist - Youth Category - USA

Parisa Verma began playing the violin at age 8. Currently, she is a rising senior at Riverdale Country School in New York and attends the Manhattan School of Music Precollege on Saturdays, where she is a student of Ms. Ella Heifets. Some of Parisa’s most recent musical achievements include winning the Grand Prize of the 2022 Vision Competition and Platinum Medal at the Quebec Music Competition. Parisa has participated in many masterclasses and performed at venues including Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, NJPac, and BergenPAC, where in addition to performing solo, she has opened for esteemed artists Joshua Bell, YoYo Ma, Itzhak Perlman, and Sarah Chang with the Elisabeth Morrow School Chamber Orchestra, of which she was concertmistress.

Caroline Lynn Wu - Chinese Harp - Gold Medalist - Professional Category - Hong Kong

Caroline Lynn Wu is a youth soloist in Guzheng and Chinese harp. After graduating from HKAPA, she furthered her studies in Central Conservatory of Music in China and received her Chinese harp teacher qualification. Ms. Wu is now receiving guidance from Harp maestro Lisa Tannebaum. She also works with composers in HongKong and the U.S to explore the possibilities of composition for both Guzheng and Chinese Harp.

In addition to the Platinum medal at the 2022 Canadian International Competition, Eunhyang Choi, who is receiving attention in the domestic and international music world by winning gold medals in Euro Elite, Grand Maestro, Global International, Grand Maestro, Quebec, and NAVI international competitions, debuted in Salzburg with 1st place in Austrian Grand Prize Virtuoso, debuted at Carnegie Hall with 1st prize in the Golden Music Awards international competition. She also took third place in London, Moscow, Carles, and Sophia in Spain, and Music and awards in Spain.2021-2022 Rapidly winning more than 20 competitions in just one year.

Eunhyang will pursue her career in not only New York as Pianist, But also in Korea, Europe, and Canada and will continue to participate in Prestigious International Competition for the next season as a Concert pianist.

Swansea Siu has been studying violin since the age of 5. Immersed in classical music from a young age, she is passionate about spreading the art through performing and charity work. She is a winner of Golden Classical International Competition and Satori Summer Music Festival.
At the age of 15, Swansea made her debut in New York City at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall. Swansea currently is a violin student at Orange County School of the Arts’ Strings & Orchestra Conservatory. She is based in Southern California. In her free time, she enjoys playing piano and dancing ballet.

Nathan Chen - Violin - Gold Medalist - Youth Category - Taiwan

In 2007, Nathan Chen was born in Los Angele, USA. He started to learn piano since 5 years old, and began learning violin at age of seven. His violin teachers have included Shih Kai-Li, Nanette Chen, Chih-Hong Tseng, Lenny Wong. Nathan graduated from DunHua Elemantary School with classical music training in June 2020. He was the Concert master of DunHua Orchestra and String Orchestra. Nathan also participates in Taipei Philharmonic Youth Ensemble and is now the associate concertmaster. He is now studying with Shih Kai-Lin at the High School of National University.
In 2019, Chen attended the Taiwan First Prize Music Competition, and won the opportunity to represent Taiwan for the violin final contest in Tokyo, Japan. Bo-Yuan (Paul) Jeng - Violin- Gold Medalist - Youth Category – Taiwan

Born in 2006 in Taipei, Taiwan, Bo-Yuan currently studies at the 7-year program of The Department of Music, National Tainan University of the Arts, Taiwan. He started learning violin when he was seven and had immersed himself in music performing activities. Before entering the music conservatory to start pursuing a professional musician career, he had already won several regional and national student music competitions in Taiwan.

Besides performing solo, Bo-Yuan also enthusiastically participated in a wide variety of music performances. From the age of eleven, Bo-Yuan was the concertmaster of the school’s string orchestras for four years and had consistently won the first prize of string ensemble in the Student Music Competition of Taipei City and the top rankings of National Finals. In addition, he was also the first violin of the String Quartet of Dun Hua Junior High School, which had won the first prize of String Quartet in the Taipei City Student Music Competition and the second prize in the national final in the years of 2018 ~ 2019.

Bo-Yuan had received appraisals of “Excellent Concertmaster” by the Grand Jury when participating in the Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Competition in Vienna with his school’s string orchestra in July 2019, which was invited to perform at the Winners' Gala Concert at the Golden Hall of the Musikverein. Moreover, Bo-Yuan also joined the Taipei Philharmonic Youth Symphony Orchestra at the age of twelve and had accumulated a lot of performing experiences overseas including Japan, Austria, Germany, Italy, and etc.

Juhee Park entered Dong-eui University as a scholarship student and graduated summa cum laude with a BM in piano performance. Shelby Thompson is the Choir Director and Music Teacher at East Cooper Montessori Charter in Mount Pleasant, SC. She holds a B.A in Choral Music Education from Charleston Southern University.

Ms. Shelby has been a part of various musical performances such as: Beauty & the Beast, Bye Bye Birdie, Legally Blonde, Seussical, Pirates of Penzance, and lastly her most prominent role as Bebe Benzenheimer in A Chorus Line. She is an active choral member who has performed in major conferences such as: Southern Regional American Choral Directors Association in 2016 and the South Carolina American Choral Directors Association in 2019. She also had the pleasure of touring Germany and Switzerland performing with the Charleston Southern University’s Concert Singers.

Anna Kobayashi - Piano - Silver Medalist - Junior Category - USA

Anna is a 6th grader living in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. She started learning piano at the age of six and has been enjoying brushing up her skills and musical expression. Her teacher, Akiko Sanai, has been encouraging Anna to apply for international competitions. She has received the first prize at Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition, for which she was invited to play in Brussels, Belgium. She has also earned first and second prizes at multiple competitions including American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition and Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition. She has performed at the winner’s recital at Carnegie Hall in New York City twice and is scheduled to play another time. She is one of the finalists of Osaka International Music Competition and has been invited to perform in Osaka, Japan, after the pandemic. Anna is also receiving lessons from Saya Kawashima, who gives piano and music lessons from the standpoint of a vocalist. She also enjoys practicing aikido and karate (Japanese martial arts).

Born in June 2009, Chloe is currently a vocal student of Ms. Smile Tse since 2020.

Chloe started learning singing at the age of 9 and she passed the ABRSM grade 5 (2019), grade 8 (2021) singing exams and grade 6 (2022) piano exams with distinction. Chloe obtained the DipLCM on classical singing in 2021. Besides singing, she passed the ABRSM grade 8 flute exam (2021). Chloe was one of the members of Hong Kong Children’s Choir (HKCC) and also the Invited soloist of The Caritas Tsuen Wan Children Choir. She was admitted to the Junior Music Program at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) majoring in singing in 2021.

Guangyi Liu - Piano - Silver Medalist - Youth Category - USA

Guangyi Liu is a 16-year-old piano student from Palo Alto, CA. He attends Henry M. Gunn High School as a junior. Guangyi first started playing piano at the age of five at Canon Music, as part of a group lesson. Guangyi then started taking private piano lessons with Mr. Jacob Brodski at the Community School of Music and Arts. During his time with Mr. Brodski. Guangyi passed ABRSM Grade 8, competed in multiple piano competitions, and has achieved placement in the USOMC piano competition. Guangyi Liu has also done research on neural networks and their ability to identify composers of songs and the key signatures of songs, through a research platform called Polygence. He also teaches piano and theory lessons, up to grade 5, on a platform called “Quarantunes”, to younger children throughout the state.

My name is Venice Yip Hoi Kiu. I was born in January, 2011. At the time I participated in this competition, I was an 11 year old student studying at Malvern College Hong Kong. I started playing violin at the age of 2 and I started playing piano at the age of 4. I am currently grade 7 in violin and grade 8 in piano. In school, I am part of the junior orchestra as president. I’ve participated in different competitions such as 11th Zhongsin International Music Competition (China region), Hong Kong Bauhinia Cup String Competition 2017, Asia Pacific Young Musicians Open Competition 2020, Inheritage Philharmonic Youth Online Music Competition 2021, and numerous Hong Kong Music Schools Festival competitions along with other competitions outside of school. Back when I was a toddler, I already showed eagerness to learn music, I wish to be able to play any song. As I grew older, the desire to play songs that I enjoy grew, and I am very impressed that I am able to play a few now. I really liked the piece I chose for this competition, it was a challenge for me since there was no piano accompaniment for me to rely on. Overall, I really enjoyed playing this piece and being able to have the opportunity to be part of this competition.

Patt Pita Tutanathorn - Piano - Silver Medalist - Pre-junior Category - Thailand

Patt Pita Tutanathorn is presently in Year 1 at Shrewsbury International School Bangkok (Riverside), Thailand. Other than playing the piano, Pita also has passion for arts and gymnastics.
She began playing the piano at the age of 3. In 2021, she was awarded ‘First Prize’ and ‘Exceptional Young Talent’ Special Prize in the Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition, ‘First Place” in the Royal Sound Music Competition, and ‘Second Place’ in the Rocky Mountain Music Competition. In 2022, she was awarded ‘First Prize’ in the Orbetello Piano Competition, ‘Gold Medal’ in the Quebec Classical Music Competition and ‘Silver Prize’ in the World Classical Music Awards Competition.

Yuchen Zhou - Piano - Silver Medalist - Pre-Junior - USA

My name is Yuchen Zhou, I was born in New Zealand in 2015. I started my music study at the age of 5 with Dr. Qian Yin at Yin Music Studio in the United States.

I love classical music and have many favourite pieces such as Mozart - Turkish March and Beethoven - Für Elise.

I spend 1-2 hours every day practicing piano following instructions provided by my teacher Dr. Qian. I record my performance during practices and watch the playback multiple times to identify areas of improvement. I share my recordings with my teacher for feedback and prescriptive guidance on how to correct errors and develop technical skills. I do not have special preparation for competitions other than my daily routine.

My dream is to perform at a bigger stage in order to share with more people my understanding of the beauty of music.

Fei Tong Li – Piano – Silver Medalist - China

Fei Tong Li was born in 2013 in a happy music family in China. His father often plays famous violin songs, and his mother likes to sing hymns. Although Fei Tong is only a second-year student in a primary school in Beijing, he has been learning from Takahashi Masae, a piano teacher, since he was four years old. Soon his sensitivity to the melody and his expression of music appeared.
Fei Tong has won many international and domestic music competition awards in the past four years of piano, including the 2019 Jane Bastian International Piano Open (Gold Award), the 2022 Central Conservatory of Music National Youth Art Competition (Silver Award), the 2022 Beethoven Young Musicians Competition (Fourth Class Winner) and the 2022 London International Music
Competition (Fourth Prize).

Aiden Guo - Piano - Silver Medalist - Pre-Junior Category

Aiden is a 5 years old and born in U.S.. He is a Kindergarten student studying in U.S. He has been practicing piano for one year now. He achieved some prizes this year.

Yiquan Zhou - Alto Saxophone - Silver Medalist - Youth Category - Canada

Yiquan Zhou was born in China. When he was 6yrs old, he immigrated to Canada. He began to learn saxophone with Mr Matthieu Bélanger since2017. He got silver medal in the Bravissmo competition of 2018 and gold medal of Maisonneuve Music Festival of 2019 in Montreal. Now he studied in College Charlemagne and a member of the school’s orchestra. His orchestra got 4th place of Quebec’s orchestra competition this year. Recently he moi also got silver medal of Quebec’s music competition.

Zhenxiao Yang - Accordion - Silver Medalist - Youth Category - Canada

I am especially grateful to my accordion teacher Ms. LanTing Liu here. When I was four years old, I went to a open house of the children's activity center and randomly ran into the accordion classroom. At that time, I was very curious this instrument about where the sound of the music came from. The teacher was very very nice, kindly and encouraged me to try it. But at that time I was too little and my arms were too short to hold the accordion and I asked for teacher to wait me until my arms grew longer. Two weeks later, the teacher called my mum said she borrowed a toy accordion with 22 keys and 8 basses for me, which started my musical journey. Since then, accordion practice and accordion orchestra rehearsal have become my daily routine.
I am very proud that I have been holding a great record for more than ten years. I am the best accordion player in football teams, although I am the only one who plays accordion in all of soccer clubs I have involved.
I will continue to practice, regardless of performances, medals, certificates, professional or not, and continue to adhere to my musical journey.

Rashana Ram - Silver Medalist - Piano - Youth Category - Singapore

Rashana is a 13-year-old Singaporean who started learning piano at the age of 6 under her teacher, Ms Kee Kannie.

Rashana won her first Platinum award at the age of 7 at the 6th Singapore Performers’ Festival and Chamber Music Competition. At age 10, she won her next Platinum award at the 1st Le Petit Performers’ Fest. At age 12, she took part in the ARS Nova International Music Competition and received the Gold award. She came in 1st at the Joyeux Music International competition. At age 13, Rashana took part in the Quebec Music Competition and received the Gold award. She also received the Fantastic Technique Special Prize at the London Young Musician competition. Rashana received the Silver award at the North American Virtuoso International Music Competition and a Platinum award at the 5th Le Petit Performers' Fest.

Rashana is currently in the Music Elective Programme in her school.

Kiana Ghalambor - Piano - Bronze Medalist - Youth Category - Iran

Kiana was born on December 11, 2006, in Tehran, Iran. She is the first child in her family. When she was 2, her family decided to submit her to an early childhood music program "Orff music education" at Pars Music Institute. This institute is one of Iran's most famous and professional private music education centers. In 2011 she finished her Orff study, and
to continue her journey, she chose Santoor as her first study instrument.
Santoor is the most challenging traditional instrument in Iran to master. At the age of 6, Kiana showed a spectacular talent for music but more surprising was that she showed so much perseverance as a child. She would sit at her table and practice Santoor for more than 8 hours daily. That is why after one year of music education, her stage performance started as a solo player and group player. Since then, she has shown
confidence in playing for an audience. As she had more performance opportunities until the end of 2011, one of
the Tombaq masters at the Pars institution recognized Kiana';s talent. He suggested that Kiana starts learning Tombaq to understand music rhythm better and enhance her grasp of Santoor.

Since 2011 Kiana has continued her santoor education and completed Tombaq education. Her intelligence and hard work led to her finishing music levels 2-3 years sooner than her music teachers anticipated.

Gabriel Vasilescu – Piano - Bronze Medalist (Youth Category) - USA

Gabriel Vasilescu was born in Montreal, Canada and moved in the USA at 2 years old. He started to study piano at 9 years old under the guidance of piano teacher Mrs. Sandra Curless.
From 2020 to 2022, Gabriel received numerous awards. Among these, he received Silver at Quebec Music Competition in 2022, Gold at Quebec Music Competition, Silver at Canadian International Music Competition, second place at Little Mozarts International Music Competition and Consul General Award at Chopin Avenue International Piano Competition in 2021. He was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall. He is passionate about composing and he would love to share his compositions in the future. Besides piano, Gabriel loves math, chess, soccer, and basketball.

Kayshana Ram -Piano - Bronze Medalist - Junior Category - Singapore

Kayshana is a 9-year-old Singaporean who started learning the piano at the age of 6, under the tutelage of Ms Kee Kannie.

Kayshana received the Gold award at the 1st Le Petit Performers' Fest at the age of 6.
At age 8, she took part in the ARS Nova International Music Competition and received the Gold Award.
At age 9, Kayshana clinched the Gold Award in the Quebec International Music Competition.

She was the top prize winner in the International Vivaldi Music Competition 2022, in which she received First Prize with Excellence Nomination, as well as the Excellent Interpretation Award.

Kayshana was also the First Prize winner in the 2022 Music Singapore International Piano and Violin Competition. She participated in the North American Virtuoso International Music Competition and received the Bronze Award. Kayshana hopes to continue pursuing her interest in music by participating in music competitions!
